To mark the anniversary of the Montfort Parliament of 1265, where elected representatives of the shires and the boroughs came together for the first time, the 2015 Flag Project has invited 650 schools, one from every constituency, to design a flag to represent where they live.
A selection of flags will be chosen to represent the nations and regions across the UK. They will be made up into sewn flags and flown in Parliament Square for a special event in March 2015.
Our school has been selected to represent our constituency in this special 2015 Flag Project.
There was a specific set of guidelines that had to be followed, i.e. being simple, eye catching etc.
Each flag had to be followed by a written explanation of what is being represented in the flag.
