If you would like to apply to the school, you may call to obtain an application form or download documents from this website. Parents are also invited to visit the school, which can be with their child — please ensure an appointment is made in advance of your visit; unscheduled visits will not be accommodated. Parents are advised to read the Admissions Policy in advance of making an application.
Please send your application in good time as places are very limited; this can be at any time throughout the year.
Registration Fee payable: £100 (non-refundable, payable online — see below for payee details).
Please note: applications will NOT be processed unless the Registration Fee is received at the time of application.
Following successful receipt of your application, with all necessary details (previous school report, medical report etc.), your child will be invited to visit the school and sit our entrance examinations. This is a half day in which your child will take tests in English, Mathematics and Islamic Studies. The examinations are exclusive to our school and aim to test the attainment and potential of prospective students. The content of all examination papers is confidential and will not be given to parents.
No fees are payable for examinations unless a resit is offered, in which case there is a £100 (non-refundable) charge.
A review of your application will be made after the submission of all the necessary documents:
After the examination, you will be invited to meet with a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Deputy Headteacher or the Headteacher. This is an opportunity to discuss any aspect of the school, its curriculum, teaching, or any other matters.
After Stages 1 to 4 have been successfully completed and the review conducted, a decision will be communicated to parents. Parents are advised to familiarise themselves with the school policies before enrolment.
Parents will be required to complete and return all final documentation so that their child can be successfully enrolled. Without this, students will not be fully enrolled nor allowed to attend classes until the administration processes are complete, including the fee contract and fees which must be settled prior to issuance of a final acceptance letter.
Upon completion of stages 1 to 5, the School Administrator will contact parents to administer the fee contract. Parents must complete the necessary fee contracts/arrangements prior to admission.
Once all stages are complete, a Letter of Admission (LoA) will be provided confirming enrolment at Oakwood Primary; until the admissions letter is issued, enrolment will be considered pending.
